Laser Wheel Alignment

Wheel Alignment

Tyres@Home can perform a full wheel alignment, at time of fitting on all tyres purchased from us throughout Bolton, Preston, Wigan and Bury.

Wheel alignment is a standard part of vehicle maintenance. The process consists of adjusting the angles of the front wheels so that they are set to the car manufacturers specification. The purpose of these adjustments is to ensure vehicle-travel that is straight and true when driving along a straight and level road and to maximise tyre life.

Wheel alignment is often confused with wheel balancing. The two really have nothing to do with each other except for the fact that they affect ride and handling. Improper alignment is a major cause of premature tyre wear. Over the years, a properly aligned vehicle can add thousands of miles to the tyre life.

Have your car checked if you notice:

- Excessive or uneven tyre wear
- Steering wheel pulls to the left or right
- Feeling of looseness or wandering
- Steering wheel is not centred when car is moving straight ahead

How often should I have my car aligned?

Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation noted in your owner’s manual. But, as a general rule, have your vehicle’s tyres checked every 10,000 miles or at least once a year.

"My car (a peugeot) had a locking nut completely stripped and immoveable. Three separate tyre services and garages had tried to remove it, but had given up, after what seemed like a half hearted try.  I rang Simon, who came out exactly at the time he told me, and through perseverance removed it. He also balanced my wheels, changed a dodgy valve and advised me when I would need a worn tyre replacing, without any pressure to buy anything. a true hero!"

"Simon came over to my house in Standish Wigan today and changed my tyre within a couple of hours of calling him. On the phone he gave me an immediate quote for a new tyre but promised to try and repair the one that was already on. When he inspected the tyre while it was still on the car he suggested it may be possible to repair it as the tread was okay for another 6 months, but after he got the tyre off he made a proper assessment and replaced the tyre. He was totally honest and fair and didn't try to sell me a new tyre if I didn't need one. I appreciated his service and I had a new tyre on my car and was ready to go within 10 minutes.  Many thanks."

"I was put in contact with themobiletyrefitter through a work colleague. My tyres were in a really bad way and needed sorting quickly. Themobiletyrefitter was able to give me a quote over the phone within a few minutes and gave me a number of options based on my budget. I confirmed the booking at 20.40 on the thursday night and he was at my place of work at 2.30 the next day. It only took 30min or so to have all 4 new tyres fitted. I was hugely impressed with the speed, quality and price of the service (couldn't find a cheaper price anywhere!) and I have since recommended themobiletyrefitter to all my friends and family. Many thanks!"

"Simon recently fitted two new tyres on my Jaguar XJ6. He arrived promptly and he immediately started the tyre exchange with my car jacked up on my drive.I was able to carry on with some work inside the house whilst he removed the wheels and proceeded to replace the tyres. In total the task took no longer than half an hour, the tyres were competitively priced and works were carried out in a professional manner. The best thing is that I did not have to drive to a tyre fitting shop and then wait around for the job to be done. I would certainly recommend Tyres@Home as a way forward in replacement tyre fitting." - Clive G
